Group 2 Support Surfaces - Pressure Reduction Systems

Pressure relief systems are support surfaces which provide surface interface pressures below capillary closing (32 mm Hg). These systems are generally dynamic (powered) providing either low air-loss therapy or alternating pressure therapy. National Wound Care has a complete line of Pressure Relief Systems that provide both these therapies, as well as additional kinetic therapies. These products are effective in treating Stage II to Stage IV pressure ulcers.

NWC-1000

NWC-1000ET
Cost-effective pressure relief through a 5.5 inch, 17 cell mattress overlay that provides alternating pressure-relief every five minutes. This results in zero pressure to 50% of the body surface area at a time. The product is controlled by a microcomputer for accurate pressure monitoring.

Recommended for the patient at high risk for breakdown and uncomplicated pressure ulcers.

NWC-2000ET
Non-powered, self-adjusting pressure relief mattress

NWC-3000ET

NWC-3000ET
Alternating pressure version of the NWC-5000 mattress. Provides alternating pressure-relief in five to fifteen minute intervals, offering zero pressure to 50% of the body surface area at a time, thus promoting healthy blood flow to body tissues.

Recommended for the treatment of uncomplicated pressure ulcers

NWC-4500
Combines kinetic rotation with the convenience of a portable low air loss mattress replacement system. Turns a patient 40 degrees bilaterally, reducing respiratory complications associated with immobility.

NWC-5000
A dynamic, computerized, low air-loss therapy bed system with kinetic features. Converts any hospital bed into a pressure-relief surface. Pressure relief, coupled with two dynamic modalities (derma-wave and derma-pulse), increases capillary blood flow and thus accelerates wound healing.

Recommended for the complex pressure ulcer patient and post-operative skin-flaps

NWC-6000ET

Coming soon!

The ultimate in support surface therapy, incorporating the best clinical features of the NWC-5000 with additional clinical features in a lighter, softer, more stimulating and comfortable air support system that makes every other support surface obsolete

NWC-9000

NWC-9000
Provides pressure relief through a heated fluid flotation environment. The warmth, together with the low pressure, allows for improved wound healing. Available with built-in scales.
